Synopsis: Marta, a young woman from Medellín who dreams of becoming a singer, leaves her mother's house to live with her boyfriend and have the life she's always dreamed of. But the young couple is destined to live a future far removed from their plans.
Fifteen years later, condemned to live in poverty and loneliness, Marta ceases to be a dreamy young woman and becomes a woman willing to do anything to survive. A new love, a debt, abandonment, and frustration are kept like the coldest secrets in the refrigerator, but no amount of refrigeration can prevent the rotten truth from being revealed, and no bolero can fill the immense void left by death.
